Generate a placeholder

Open the command

Open the Command Palette and run Synkronyx Image: Generate Image Placeholder....

Choose the image values

Provide the requested values in order:

1. Dimensions in width x height form, for example 1200x630.
2. A hexadecimal background colour, for example #101827.
3. PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, or GIF as the output format.
4. An output quality value from 1 to 100.
5. A local destination through the Save As dialog.

The placeholder contains a single solid background colour. Generation takes place locally through Sharp and does not upload any input or output data.

Pick an output format

Use PNG when the placeholder needs lossless output. Use JPEG, WebP, or AVIF when a smaller file is more useful. GIF is available for a palette-based output, although it does not add animation to the generated placeholder.
